The is only one downside to Subsonic. The flipping playlists. Working with playlists was never particularly user friendly. And with Subsonic moving to database stored playlists in 4.6 it dumped my toys in the gutter.
All my listening revolves around playlists. One for every artist or soundtrack. Queuing them up as i go. This is not easily accomplished with Subsonic. So onto the hacks.
Queuing playlists
I wrote simple php script that will export all playlists from Subsonic and print out hyperlinks so they can be easily drag and dropped into any music player.
Updating playlists
I like to keep my playlist in files. Easily created and managed in terminal or any text editor.Subsonic will auto-import and update any playlist it comes across in its media folders.
